They say ... Vaccines and Tylenol
Many people believe that Vaccines are the cause of the current spike in the autism numbers. Specifically the MMR vaccine. Tylenol is given to the children after the MMR vaccine to help with the reaction to the vaccine and it is believed that this combo is whats causing an autism epidemic.
WRONG! Many studies have been done and it has been proven that the vaccine/tylenol duo has nothing to do with autism and the current spike.
WRONG! The new definition and criteria that is being put into motion has put a hold on anything. Also, there are very few cases in people "taking advantage of the government" so it is impossible for a few people to start an entire prevalance.
The testing that goes into diagnosing autism is far from affordable. After all the testing, even if your child has been found to not have autism, you still have to pay about a $6,200 fee. So most doctors tell the parents to just go with an autistic diagnosis so that you can get the state funding because it's not cheap to pay for everything.
