In the 90's and the early 2000's autism was a disorder that not everybody was aware about. Not only that but children who were autistic were not able to recieve the proper treatment that they deserve. With the change of definition in DSM-5, autism is not only becoming more known but it's helping children recieve the treatment they deserve.
