Is Autism Becoming an Epidemic?

No, Autism is not becoming an epidemic. With doctors becoming better at diagnosing, the change of the definition and more parent awareness, Autism is a disorder thats always been around, it's just now being recognized.

In the 90's and the early 2000's autism was a disorder that not everybody was aware about. Not only that but children who were autistic were not able to recieve the proper treatment that they deserve. With the change of definition in DSM-5, autism is not only becoming more known but it's helping children recieve the treatment they deserve. This website is designed to not only prove an arguement that autism is not becoming an epidemic but to also help with awareness and connect the 3 groups of  people that work with autistic children the closest. The doctors, parents, and educators through a social blog.
